Guide Updates: Tempest Keep - The Eye

Rikto | January 28, 2008

Well, another update, this time for the Eye in Tempest Keep: we have guides for both Al’ar, the Phoenix god, and Void Reaver, AKA Loot Reaver.

Al’ar Guide - Al’ar is the first boss within the Eye of Tempest Keep. This is basically Kael’thas’ pet phoenix, much like he was capable of summoning in the Warcraft III game, should you have played that.

Void Reaver Guide - Although strictly speaking this is the second boss of the Eye, in all truth you can easily skip by the previous boss, Al’ar, and first take down this guy who is aptly named loot reaver.

Having Gruul for Dinner

Rikto | January 10, 2008

Well, updating the whole Polyphasic sleep schedule deal and… how should I explain this… time seems to pass in an amazingly sloth-like manner now.

I’ve kept it up for a bit of time now and I can already feel the effects, meaning, my body is adapting for certain as the naps become easier to fall asleep and awaken on time, yet I’m also finding it exceedingly difficult to maintain consciousness throughout the night, around the 1-5 AM period.

You wouldn’t believe how odd it is to drift off mid-writing and begin dreaming while still moving around in the otherwise waking world.

An example would be finding my keyboard suddenly animated as if possessed by an artificial intelligence while I punch in the button to update the website is… a unique experience at the very least.

Regardless, forging onward, and so on, look for more updates as to this process in a few days or so, maybe after football on Saturday.

Other than that, I’ve somehow managed to avoid writing anything whatsoever related to the actual title of this post, as in I’ve posted up a Gruul the Dragonkiller Guide to GotWarcraft, so without further ado here is the Gruul Guide.

Several New World of Warcraft Raid Guides

Rikto | December 29, 2007

We added a new raid guide - Magtheridon’s Lair Guide

We’ve added two more Karazhan Guides:

Shade of Aran - The Sixth boss of Karazhan is the equivalent to a benchmark or skill check on many raids given his unique nature and the rather difficult elements that construct this boss fight, including what is ultimately a mad mage running loose on your raid.

The Curator - Guardian of the Menagerie, the Curator hits for around 3000-3500 on tanks with normal attacks and has a bit over a million health.

Here’s what’s new in Zul’Aman Guides:

We updated all Zul’Aman guides and added three Zul’Aman boss guides, so we now have the following:

Nalorakk Guide, the first boss of Zul’Aman, is also one of simpler ones, although not necessarily easy.

Akil’Zon Guide is the second boss of Zul’Aman. He is also the eagle avatar, which is made evident with his eagle summoning, lightning attacks, and various other such abilities.

Jan’alai the Dragonhawk Avatar guide. Jan’alai the Dragonhawk Avatar is one of the more interesting boss fights of Zul’Aman. This guy hits hard and has over a million health to deal with, so be ready for a possibly challenging fight.

Halazzi Guide, the lynx avatar, is a damage intensive boss fight with around 600,000 health and a lot of tough tricks to get through.

Hex Lord Malacrass Guide - This guy not only hits for a decent amount of damage purely in melee but also has an amazing amount of health backed up by devastating abilities, many of them AoE’s that make healing quite an intensive and difficult process.

Zul’Jin Guide - Lord of Zul’Aman and the final boss of the instance, Zul’Jin is one tough fellow, hitting for an average of 4000+ in every form and changing form every 20% forcing your raid to adapt to his new abilities, a fun and difficult fight.

Last, but not least, we’ve added a High King Maulgar Guide. The leader of this five boss encounter, High King Maulgar hits for about 4,500 or so damage on Karazhan-geared warriors and beyond 7,000 with his crushing blows and the demoralizing shout debuff. Additionally, the boss has around 757,000 Health.

If all this isn’t enough for you we highly recommend the World of Warcraft Raiding Guide by Killer Guides.

Additions to Karazhan Guides & Updates to Class Guides

Rikto |

Even more Guides have been added to our site, and more updates have been made.
We’ve been busy . . .

Wizard of Oz Guide Added - ” Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to this evening’s presentation! Tonight we plumb the depths of the human soul as we join a lost, lonely girl trying desperately – with the help of her lonely companions – to find her way home.”  This is the dialogue that begins the Wizard of Oz, one of three possible plays one can go through in the Opera House in Karazhan.

Big Bad Wolf - ” Good evening ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this evening’s presentation! Tonight, things are not what they seem… for tonight your eyes may not be trusted!” When Barnes, the NPC who starts the event, begins this speech you have entered the Big Bad Wolf play in the Opera House in Karazhan.

Romulo and Julianne - ” Tonight… we explore a tale of forbidden love! But beware, for not all love stories end happily, as you may find out. Sometimes love pricks like a thorn!” Thus begins the Romulo and Julianne play in the Opera House in Karazhan.

Maiden of Virtue Guide Added - Maiden of Virtue is the third boss of Karazhan.

Moroes Guide added - Moroes is the steward of Karazhan, he’s also undead, a rogue, and has an arsenal of really annoying abilities that you’ll be watching out for the entire fight lest he decimate your raid. Also, beware of his four guests, chosen from a pool of potential spawns, they may vary somewhat each time you come along to kill him.

Attunmen the Huntsman Guide added - Attumen the Huntsman is the first boss of Karazhan.

Shadow Priest Guide now updated - Shadow Priests are obviously not your average good guy priest, but as I like to say: why be Luke Skywalker when one can be Darth Vader?

Mage Guide Updated- Mages, the official glass cannon of the world of warcraft universe, also easily the best burst damage class in the game when relatively well geared.

Paladin Guide Updated - Paladins, one of the best if not *the* best support class in the game, a mix of healing, tanking, buffing power, and even a bit of damage capability all in one heavily-plated well-protected player.

Hunter Guide Updated - Hunters, an admittedly fun class, mixing a bit of melee with a lot of ranged attack ability, and adding in a free tank/support-dps with the pet.
